Launching my book blog

Following the successful release of my last book - “Decrypting the Indic Texts” with Garuda Prakashan at the Indraprastha Cultural Festival, I am truly humbled by the support and appreciation received from my readers and my publisher. It is with a deep sense of gratitude and enthusiasm, therefore, that I am commencing the work on my next book, tentatively titled "Mythbusting the Mahabharata."

For the past fifteen years, I have been engaged in a comprehensive study of Maharshi Ved Vyas's Mahabharata under the tutelage of my father, Dr. M. R. Goyal. Dr. Goyal, an esteemed Sanskrit scholar, engineer, scientist, and mathematician, possesses a profound commitment to academic integrity in his quest for Truth. Having dedicated over thirty years to the research of this significant historical epic, he is uniquely qualified to analyze the complexities found within its contemporary editions

Given that the historical date of the Mahabharata war has been established as 3102 BC by multiple scholars, this text has been transmitted across generations for over five millennia. Consequently, countless interpolations and extrapolations have been integrated into the work over time, resulting in a mammoth volume exceeding 120,000 verses. Our task is to sift out the historical facts that convey the true story of our ancestors, devoid of any contradictions.

I intend to document my progress via this blog, providing brief insights into specific topics as I approach them in accordance with the chronological structure of the book. I hope it will be of as much interest to my readers as it is to me.
